As an MECU member, when you obtain a private student loan through us, you obtain these benefits:

  • Origination fees are paid by MECU.
  • Reduced interest rate when you choose automatic payment.
  • Deferred payment until graduation plus six months or the date you leave school plus six months.
  • Credit history begins to build for the student.
