How can I close my account?

In order to close your account at MECU, we will need to receive a signed request or you can make a request through the secured message center available through your online banking. If you are providing a written and signed request, please mail this to our office at 1205 E Algonquin Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60196, or you may fax it to 847.538.1588, or drop it off at any MECU branch. If you have loans or an MECU Visa, we will close your account once the balances are paid in full.
