How can I do a balance transfer on my Visa credit card?
You have several options for completing a balance transfer on your Visa credit card:
- You can call us at 1-847-576-5199 or 1-877-270-6392 and have an MECU representative process a cash advance for you
- Visa cash advances can also be done in person at any MECU branch. At your request, we would deposit the funds into your checking account and send a check from your checking account to the other financial institution in which you want to transfer your credit balance from.
Balance transfers are treated as cash advances. There are no fees associated with them, however interest is charged from the first day the transaction posts to your account.
